At Monarch Beach, Jenna Grace Interiors was invited to capture exactly that spirit: to reimagine the heart of a home so that it breathes with the same effortless energy as the coastline just beyond its doors.

A Kitchen That Opens to the World
The kitchen was reimagined from the ground up as a true entertainer’s sanctuary — one designed not just for cooking, but for the full, generous experience of hosting family and friends. Its crowning gesture is the new bifold pass-through windows at the sink wall, which dissolve the barrier between the kitchen and the newly remodeled backyard entirely. Whether passing platters to guests outside or simply letting the ocean breeze move through the room, this connection to the outdoors transforms the way the home feels and functions.
Three distinct cabinetry styles — thoughtfully selected in complementary stains and paint finishes — bring a layered, collected warmth to the space. Rather than the uniformity of a single cabinet line, the kitchen feels curated, as if it has evolved beautifully over time. It is a design decision that rewards a second look, and a third.
A full suite of Thermador appliances anchors the kitchen’s professional ambitions. Separate paneled column refrigerator and freezer units, along with a full-size column wine refrigerator, are seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry — present in function, invisible in form. The custom-built range hood rises as the kitchen’s architectural centerpiece, flanked on each side by floating shelves that invite the display of beautiful objects and offer the kind of open, accessible storage that makes a kitchen feel genuinely alive.

Two islands define the kitchen’s generous footprint — each with its own purpose, together creating a flow that makes entertaining feel natural and unhurried. The first island invites guests to pull up a stool, settle in, and be part of the action. The second is the working heart of the kitchen: a dedicated prep sink and a microwave drawer keep the host in motion without ever pulling them away from the conversation. It is a layout born from real understanding of how people gather — and how the best hosts make it look easy.

The family room received the same thoughtful, layered treatment. Two complementary cabinetry finishes create depth and visual interest, anchoring built-ins that provide generous storage without sacrificing warmth. Floating shelves offer space for what matters most — family photographs, travel mementos, the small objects that tell a life’s story — displayed with the casual confidence of a home that knows exactly who it belongs to.
The fireplace and custom built-in surround serve as the room’s quiet focal point: refined, grounded, and designed to draw people in. It is a space that invites you to stay, to settle, and to simply be.
