The most meaningful homes are the ones that know you — that anticipate how you live, what you need, and what brings you peace the moment you walk through the door. Monarch Bay Terrace is that home.
When Jenna Grace Interiors began this collaboration, the brief was refreshingly personal: a warm, traditional aesthetic with a light, calming palette — and beneath that beauty, a home engineered with extraordinary thoughtfulness for the way this client actually lives. The result is a masterclass in what bespoke design truly means: not just beautiful rooms, but spaces that work harder than they look.
Designed Around Life
Four beloved dogs. Forty years of carefully collected treasures. A client who knows exactly what her body needs to feel well in her own home. These weren’t constraints — they were the design brief.
Every surface was selected with intention. Matte, leathered, and honed finishes appear throughout, chosen not only for their understated elegance but to honor the client’s sensitivity to light and shine. No reflective surfaces. No exposed bulbs. No fabric shades. Instead, lighting throughout is soft, diffused, and architecturally integrated — creating an atmosphere that is warm and inviting without ever being harsh. Custom remote-controlled Roman shades complete each window with clean, tailored lines, giving the client effortless control over light at every hour of the day.
We had the absolute pleasure of working with our designer, Jenna, on the renovation of our water-damaged home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Her vision to reorient our living room toward the outdoors was a game changer—filling our home with light and beautiful
canyon views and completely transforming the space.
She also modernized our kitchen and bathrooms and thoughtfully reconfigured the layout to include an office, multipurpose room, and mudroom—designed around how
we want to live as we transition into a retirement lifestyle.
Beyond that, it’s the countless “special Jenna touches”, her meticulous attention to every detail, that make our home feel so unique. She has a discerning design eye and confidently shares her expertise, while always patiently listening to our ideas and preferences. What a great experience!
We are so grateful for her creativity, talent, and dedication, and highly recommend Jenna Grace Interiors to anyone looking for a designer who truly cares about bringing your vision to life!
A Kitchen Built for Real Life
The kitchen is the heart of this home, and Jenna Grace Interiors approached it as such. Leathered Taj Mahal quartzite — with its tactile, matte warmth — surfaces the counters and carries through to the powder bath, threading a quiet luxury through both spaces. Paneled appliances disappear seamlessly into the cabinetry, preserving the traditional aesthetic while keeping the eye at rest.
Beneath that polished exterior lies one of the most meticulously planned kitchens Jenna Grace Interiors has ever designed. Built-in silverware and cutlery storage, divided trays and dedicated baking sheet pullouts, spice and oil pullouts, organized pan and lid storage — every inch of cabinetry is considered, every drawer a small act of care. A ceiling-flush range hood maintains the clean architectural lines overhead, while induction cooking, a trash compactor, and recycling pullouts reflect a commitment to both safety and seamless function. Storage was not an afterthought here. It was the foundation.
Bathrooms That Care for You
The primary bathroom was designed with equal intention — and with an eye toward the decades ahead. A new, generously sized shower with a built-in sitting area and a second handheld fixture speaks to the client’s desire to age in place beautifully and confidently. A built-in towel warmer adds a quiet daily luxury, while direct access from the backyard pool makes the space as practical as it is serene.
Honed tile and Dekton REM counters bring matte sophistication throughout, consistent with the home’s commitment to calm, non-reflective surfaces. In place of medicine cabinets, the vanity cabinetry was custom-designed to hold everything a well-organized life requires: dedicated hairdryer storage, laundry, linens, and personal items — all accessible, all concealed, all considered.
A Home That Holds Everything
Forty years of a well-lived life accumulates beauty — art, objects, memories, things worth keeping. One of this project’s quietest triumphs is how gracefully it holds all of it. Storage solutions are woven into every room, invisible until needed, abundant without overwhelming. The home breathes. It welcomes. It protects.
This is the white-glove promise of Jenna Grace Interiors: that design at its highest level doesn’t ask you to change how you live. It simply makes the life you already love feel like it finally has the home it deserves.
Our portfolio offers a window into the elevated custom homes we create—spaces defined by quiet luxury, thoughtful detail, and effortless livability. Each project reflects a tailored collaboration with our clients, showcasing how refined design can feel both beautifully polished and deeply personal.
